3D reality capture for Sky’s latest advertising campaigns

VFXSkyUntold Studios

Sky’s latest acclaimed advertising campaigns, Sky Glass Air, #LikeThatButTelly and Escape to Extraordinary, featuring Michelle Keegan, set out to capture the unique sense of escapism that comes from watching premium television through Sky. Developed in collaboration with director Vedran Rupic and brought to life by the creative and visual effects specialists at Untold Studios, the campaigns blend reality and fantasy through a series of dreamlike, cinematic sequences.

From singing choirs, dancing dolphins and endless ice cream to Michelle Keegan transforming into characters inspired by some of the world’s most popular television series, the adverts create immersive visual experiences that showcase the breadth of content available through Sky and Netflix. The ambitious productions relied heavily on sophisticated VFX, seamless scene transitions and meticulously crafted digital environments to deliver their distinctive surreal aesthetic.

To support the production and post-production process, comprehensive 3D reality capture was undertaken by Kittiwake Digital to accurately digitise the props, characters and both the indoor & outdoor sets at Nu Boyana Studios in Bulgaria. This provided precise digital assets that enabled Untold Studios to integrate CGI elements, enhance scene continuity and streamline the production of the campaign’s visually rich final content.
